Personal Requirements
First and foremost the hearing aid acousticians provide an important service to the human being. Psychologically correct conduct, ability to empathise, interest in technology and manual dexterity are prerequisites for this profession. Hearing aid specialists in training must enjoy working with elderly people and are able to work independently and reliably.
Training
The practical training as a hearing aid specialist takes place in a specialised hearing aid shop under the supervision of an experienced hearing aid acoustician. Within three years all the professional experience required for the professional exam will have been acquired in great detail. The theoretical knowledge is taught by the Landesberufschule für Hörgeräte Akustik in Lübeck in regular teaching blocks.
